Scholarships For Actuarial Science Majors – The Actuarial Foundation awarded $239,000 in college scholarships to 83 students in 2021. Foundation scholarship recipients are selected by members of the actuarial profession who may one day become their peers. So scholarships are not only a way to reduce the cost of education, but also serve as a prestigious recognition of a highly valued career.

Scholarships For Actuarial Science Majors
More than a scholarship! The STEM Stars Actuaries Scholars Program is a new scholarship from the Actuarial Foundation and the Society of Actuaries (SOA) Foundation. The program provides high school seniors with a $20,000 scholarship ($5,000 per year for four years) along with a variety of support services, including mentoring, tutoring, immersion experiences and exposure to internships and job observation opportunities .

Third-year Trinidad and Tobago actuarial science program students from the Department of Accounting and Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology, UWI St Augustine Center have received new scholarships from the Institute and Foundation of the Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA).
Dana Reyes and Tyrese Clement have been awarded Fullerton-Long Caribbean Scholarships by the Institute and College of Actuaries (IFoA) Foundation.
Wartburg’s Uwanjye Receives Two National Actuarial Scholarships
Both are third-year students in the applied science program at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science and Technology, on the UWI St Augustine Campus.
The pair were selected from UWI’s list of the most talented and accomplished students. They each won $2,150 worth of actual scholarships.
The Fullerton-Long Caribbean Scholarship was established by senior UK practitioners of Jamaican heritage, Andrew Long and Norbert Fullerton. Both are IFOA Foundation Ambassadors and UWI graduates.
The IFOA Foundation is the dedicated philanthropic arm of the IFOA. The foundation works with the active international community to fulfill its philanthropic goals of positive social impact.
Rewarding Careers When You Have An Actuarial Mathematics Degree
At the start of this academic year, the foundation took the opportunity to launch a fund that supports the most talented and accomplished young actors studying at UWI.
IFOA Board Chair Kartina Tahir Thomson said: “The IfoA Foundation is delighted to partner with Norbert and Andrew on the IFOA Foundation Fullerton-Long Scholarship Award. The scholarship award itself aims to support Caribbean students in their academic careers. Not only would students benefit financially, they would also benefit from the opportunity the award brings.

The 2021 Fullerton-Long Scholarships have been launched for the UWI Mona Performance Program with two awards of $2,150 each. This year, she partnered with the IFOA Foundation and received additional funding to expand the program to St Augustine.
