Certification Courses For Civil Engineers – The BEST Certificate is a transcribed certificate combining multidisciplinary courses from different York University faculties (Business courses at the Schulich Business School; Law courses at the Osgoode Law School and Design, Technology and Innovation courses at the School of Engineering). The certificate is designed to develop students’ entrepreneurial skills and knowledge. In general, the outcomes of the seven compulsory subjects can be achieved through the existing courses already defined in each degree, with the addition of business and legal subjects.
Students can complete the BEST certificate in addition to their study courses. The BEST certificate enables students to play a greater role in managing technological innovation in large organizations or to start their own business.

Mr. Sachin S Nalawade has successfully completed the Innovation Ambassador Training conducted by Innovation Cell MoD and AICTE, New Delhi. Mr. Mayur Shinde coordinated the research and soil testing practical sessions for the students of Design Innovation Center, SPPU conducting a course on advanced and innovative techniques for environment and watershed management. Mr. Sri Kamble, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering has successfully completed the NPTEL Online Certification Course and achieved Elite + Gold rating in “Wastewater Treatment and Recycling” with a combined score of 95%. He is in the top 1% in this course. Similarly, he successfully completed the NPTEL online certification course and earned an Elite degree in “Geo-environmental engineering” with a combined score of 77%. He is in the top 5% in this course. Ms. Vaishnavi Battul, assistant professor of Civil Engineering Department, successfully completed the NPTEL Online Certification Course with an elite grade of 89% in “Structural Analysis I”.
