Who it’s for: This monitor is for anyone with a computer (or graphics card) over three years old that doesn’t support a 4K display, or anyone who relies on apps that aren’t they scale well
Why we like it: The Asus ProArt Display PA278CV is a 27-inch monitor with a variety of ports and decent color accuracy at most of its presets. (The exception is the sRGB preset, which offers excellent accuracy but locks the screen to a relatively dim brightness that we found too low for everyday use.) Flawed but not a criminal: Although Asus advertises the color accuracy of its ProArt displays, in our tests the PA278CV was good but not great at almost every preset. The VA24DCP is an affordable monitor that has reasonable color accuracy with a USB-C connection and 65W of charging. Its main drawback is its base stand, which simply tilts the monitor up and down, but this is typical of almost all budget monitors.

Downside but not a dealbreaker: This is a budget monitor, so you’ll be giving up some features like an adjustable stand and a USB hub. It’s nice to have, but it doesn’t affect day-to-day use for many people, so we think it’s a good compromise. However, the speakers on this monitor aren’t great and we don’t recommend using them.
The Dell P3222QE is more expensive than most 27-inch monitors, but it has good color accuracy and USB-C connectivity, and the larger screen makes it easier to see details in 4K photos and videos.
